Award in Cooperative Principles and Governance​
This programme is designed to raise awareness of the Cooperative Model within the context of Malta. The history of the Cooperative Model as well as the internationally accepted principles and values of cooperative will be taught. The programme will also cover the structure and governance of Cooperative Models as well as successes within the local context.

Intended Learning Outcomes

The learner will be able to:

a) Increase their knowledge of the History of the Cooperative Model and its influences on current practices

b) Understand the Cooperative Model Values & Principles

c) Increase Understanding the different types of Cooperatives

d) Gain knowledge on the theory and practice of Cooperative Governance

e) Increase awareness of local Cooperatives

a) Apply their knowledge of the Cooperative Model appropriately and differentiate between the Cooperative Model and other existing organisational structures such as Voluntary Organisations, Public Limited Companies etc.

c) Demonstrate their understanding of Cooperative Structure and Governance.
