Course for Postgraduate Certificate in Relational Supervision

This course was originally established and developed in 2006, in the UK, by Seven Talking Therapy - a group of affiliated therapist, to promote and enhance standards in supervision for counsellors and within other social wellbeing professions. The UK course is recognised as an advanced specialist course by the National Counselling Society (UK). The course was offered locally in 2018 by Severn Talking Therapy in collaboration with LYNC: a cooperative of social wellbeing professionals. When the course was offered locally it was  recognised and quality checked by the National Counselling Society (UK). The local version of the course (Postgraduate Certificate in Relational Supervision) was adapted to reflect the local legal frameworks regulating the practice of supervision within social wellbeing professions.

This course leads to a qualification to conduct supervision within a number of social well being professions but it is not a professional qualification. Supervisors need to already be professionals within their respective fields. This course does not lead to a professional qualification. It  trains professionals to practice supervision across different social wellbeing and healthcare professions. The local course is an adaptation of the course developed in the UK. This adaptation was spurred on by the need for this course to reflect and take into account the local demands in terms of the registration of supervisors within different local social wellbeing professions.
